Putin Orders No Airstrikes on Kyiv for 3 Days

Al-Taj News – Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Saturday that no strikes be carried out on Kyiv for three days starting at midnight, coinciding with the arrival of US President Donald Trump’s envoys in Moscow to discuss the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “We received this information from the Ukrainian side. The Russian president and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Vladimir Putin, issued a decision to halt all airstrikes on Kyiv for three days, starting at midnight tonight. This is due to the ongoing US talks in Kyiv,” according to Sputnik.

Ukrainian media had previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced a ceasefire from midnight on September 5 through September 8.

Earlier Saturday, US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow for talks on the war in Ukraine, where they were received by Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
